Portrait and commercial photography fuse in the studio

A photo session with professional models in a studio, can that still be called portrait photography? Jeroen Bouman thinks so. He shows how portraits and advertsing photography effortlessly fuse into one for a client like Manpower Int.

"Models can easily look a bit too smooth, even artificial. I like to select my models on their character and personality so I can catch a glimpse of that in my photos. That's how I keep my photographs real and natural, and the result can just as easily be called portrait photography or commercial photography. Boundaries do not exist in my world."

Jeroen Bouman has his own photo studio in The Hague, but for this photo production he rented a studio in Amsterdam on request of the client. In similar cases, Jeroen can arrange rental studios in Rotterdam or any other city in Holland or Belgium. He can also turn any decent sized office meeting room into a makeshift studio, complete with seamless backgrounds and lighting.
